CHURCH AS ONE
In this day in age leadership crisis around the world has reached the top, many of our politician leaders have become so deceptive because of lack of integrity and manipulation, as well as immoral agendas among many of them. Just a few weeks ago in the news one of the States Leaders tried to sell an official political position for his own profit.
Considering that we are now living in the age of theological instability in the body of Christ with so many doctrines taking away the focus of the people of God, Pastors, preachers and Bishops are preaching messages but don’t live the message in their life styles.
So many of us have flit with the flock instead of feeding the flock, laying down with our own flock instead of laying hands on their weaknesses, we have truly become an agenda of scandal instead of being a bridge to the lost for God kingdom.
Our heart goes out to all those who have been influenced by any type of Leaders from Political, Intellectual or spiritual, we pray they find on them the ingredients which will raise in their heart a hope and confidence of connectivity.
So many messages with no Christ methods lose the sense of connectivity because of fame and becoming a star. Forgetting that our price is the cross, nevertheless Jesus Christ had attracted a largest crowd of the world when he was crucified naked on the cross. The largest crowd of our master was at the time of his tribulation, suffering and in pain. Moreover those who told him”we will be with you anywhere you go” left him under the arms of military. He was betrayed, crucified but raised on the third day. The journey of Christian life is more than fame, glory, money, success it is also about paying the price, the willingness to lay down your life because of our Lord.
Today, because so many of us have been deceived by our socio, political, spiritual or intellectual leaders we had made Jesus Christ our savior but not our Lord. Can I challenge us to realign our lives and reassess our priorities because He is coming soon and the time is going to get tougher and tougher.
If we are looking for a leader to help us in our journey and destiny or if we need to join any church, we need to make sure that we are not distracted with names, Charisma or fames, let us spend time in prayer for divine guidance, with the help of the Holy Spirit let’s identify this twelve ingredients in the life of the Leader:
To respond too many of your questions such as what kind of a pastor I need to submit myself to? What type of leader I need to follow? What type of person I need to let influence my life? Please make sure you find the 12 ingredients in the Life of healthy Leaders:
1. Integrity
2. Respect
3. Energy
4. Accountability
5. Trust
6. Delegation
7. Honesty
8. Humility
9. Servant-hood
10. Excellence
11. Discipline
12. Determination
It is my desire while navigating this page you will find God in you who can impact and influence you and who would also allow his spirit of grace and mercy to help you germinate those ingredients in you. While we are losing our hope in people, we all need to reconnect back to him.
The question should be why church must be one? For a few reasons:
1. Universal: Only one body through the blood of Christ. There is no such a thing like my church but our church with our leader. We all understand that it is the Leader who has to report to the government and other institutions but it is also our assignment to support and walk with him.
2. Community: It’s not about a local entity it is about one voice coming to God.
3. Saint: connect with others.
4. Respect of authority: The church must submit itself to the authority of a leadership, there is no such thing as being independent without submission to any covering.

Developing a Healthy Leader
There are two types of leaders. One is a healthy leader and the other is an unhealthy leader. Spiritually you do not know where you are going and expect God to do something greater in your life (maximizing your potential) but you have been injured in the past.
This class will help you to examine who you are. You will examine who you are in Christ.
What is your position in Christ? People complain and murmur because they don't know their position in Christ. In Exodus 15 they were free in the body to leave Egypt and go to the promise land but in their mind and spirit they were still bound. For God to bring greatness in you you need to be set free from your past. Deal with your own personality. Confront things that hold you back. Be honest with yourself.Suggested reading: Search Significance by Robert McGee. This book presents every detail question of your life.A lot of things we deal with in our lives are about our soul and not our spirit. Question: What would you do if someone took a stone and broke the windshield of your car? Think about what your answer would be. Your answer determines the level of your soul. If you are not sure how you would react, this class will let you know. It will help you discover the real you. You cannot go beyond the real you. You must embrace the real you. It is dangerous to be 40, 50, or 60 years old and not know the real you. What are those things in you? Ask to the Lord to search your heart and ask Him what you haven't confronted. How can you be healed from damaged emotions?T.D. Jakes said "If you think you're o.k. there is still a struggle somewhere." Who is the real you? Until you embrace the real you you cannot embrace other people. This class will help you.Go home and write certain things you have not shared with other people. Get a journal. You may have to cry for a few hours, scratch out what you wrote and ask God to help you to grow. Understanding the Meaning of LeadershipThere is a difference between a mentor, a coach, a Pastor, a teacher and a master. They are all levels of leadership but the difference is in the relationship with the person.A leader stays in the forefront of others. Leaders have influence on others lives. They invest in others.A coach spends time investing in other people. A coach is a leader he/she is just being called a coach.A mentor spends time investing in the potential of others and invests time in where the person is going.A friend invests time in feelings and emotions. You cannot put friends in key positions.Example: Jesus did not leave the church to his friend John. John had a caring capacity. Peter was a risk taking leader and Jesus gave the church to him. An organization can fall because of a lack of integrity especially if a friend remains the leader of the organization. This is because with friends there is no accountability. If you don't have someone to correct or rebuke you, if you think you have it all or if you believe only God can correct you, you are living dangerously on this earth. This is considered poison living.Everyone on earth is called to be a leader because we are called to lead ourselves first. When you go to school and/or go to your job, you are investing time in yourself. You have to motivate yourself. Even when it is cold outside and you have to get up, you have to motivate yourself.**Remember, there are 2 types of leaders: healthy and unhealthy. Are you a healthy or unhealthy leader? What are you called to? All are called to be healthy leaders. Please note that everything that is said in this class stays in this class. What are you called for? God wants us to be healthy leaders. Every leader God calls is to be developed.i.e. A baby is born and cannot automatically walk. The baby has to be developed.God expects us to be developed. We are called to be developed in 3 levels:1) Body2) Soul3) SpiritDeveloping Your BodyWe cannot only be developed in the body. What does it mean to be developed in the body? • Exercise • Eat well• Take medication• Learn to be consistentLet your body be developed. You need to have a balance. If you are overweight begin exercising and eating well. God cannot take you to a certain place in that state. If youdon't manage yourself well you won't get there. If you need to take medicine, take it. Don't listen to the spooky stuff like I don't need medicine. God put medical doctors here. If the medicine starts to take you over, put the medicine away and ask God for strength. If you cannot control yourself from eating a cheeseburger, how do you control yourself with the sin in your life?Do not give into the thought that you will do such and such just one more time. This class will challenge you. The place God wants to take you is greater than where you are now. He will not waste time investing in you.Start managing your life. Show up on time and show up in a certain way.You have to start overtaking some decisions. You can miss out on a million dollars going to McDonalds instead of showing up on time and showing up in a certain way.Ask yourself what do you do about this?Go home today and look at your life. Ask God where is He taking you. It is bigger than what you are doing now.Declare: "I know what I want, but I won't do it anymore because of where I am going. Where I am going is greater. I cannot waste time on this anymore."Developing Your SoulThere are different capacities and different layers1) Socially – get a social lifeJesus didn't preach to Mary and Martha. He spent time with them. It's amazing that Jesus had 12 disciples and Lazarus wasn't one of them. Lazarus was Jesus'friend. Jesus was socializing.Do not fool yourself into thinking that Jesus is the only friend you need.We only know what was going on with Jesus at the time he was born, when he was 12 years old and when he was 30.In John chapters 5, 6, and 8 the people struggled to accept Jesus as the Messiah because they were thinking, "We were just talking to him a few days ago and now he's a messiah?"In American culture everyone pays for themselves, they look at it as "my" money. If one person pays for another's food the other person feels obligated to do the same next time. In the African culture socialization is a family affair. They are not looking at "my" money. In Acts 2, they had everything together.Globalization: embracing different cultures, ethnicities and backgrounds.Where God is taking us we cannot go with an "it's all about me" mindset.Egocentric: Culture that is all about me. Everything is centered around what others can do for me. When the disciples told Jesus that the people didn't have bread and asked ifthey should send them back home, Jesus replied, "Give them bread yourself."You have to take the initiative. When was the last time you had the chance to hang out with family?God always uses human beings as answers to problems. He'll send someone to work with you and talk with you.If you don't socialize or make time to socialize, how can you leave a mark on someone. You may say something to someone and later on they may say, "Iremember when you said X,Y, and Z."2) Psychologically (intellectual capacity and moral life):You have to grow in your mind. This class will not focus on this.3) Emotionally:You have to grow emotionally. You have to be developed emotionally. The more you grow physically you are required to grow emotionally. What affected you at 16 years old should not affect you at 25 years old. Be able to manage your emotions. i.e. – Bishop Weeks, III stayed in front of people to continue doing good work even after all that took place. What would your reaction be if someone breaks your windshield? How are you going to react? You have to deal with your emotions.Do not use excuses like, my mother was not there for me. We do things based on decisions and choices. What happened to you in the past is not an excuse to kill, steal, lie, etc. Paul said when he was a child he acted like a child but when he grew he put away childish things. If you find yourself going through a continuous behavioral pattern, you did notgrow emotionally yet. If you do recognize that you go through the same thing over and over, ask God to help you grow emotionally. You need to know your limits, sexually, intellectually, emotionally, etc. Get to discover the real you.You grow when you learn to manage things. There were 2 sons who turned their father in to authorities because the father was committing bank robberies.Never take responsibility of someone's actions to the level of your emotions. Don't let others' choices effect your emotions. In many African countries, they grow intellectually but they have not grown socially or politically. They have leaders who are unhealthy because of all of the fighting and wars that are taking place.Developing FinanciallyTo grow financially it requires you to get a job. If you don't work you cannot eat.If you have a credit card recognize that it is not your money. If you have school loans pay them back. Grow to pay that money. You cannot hold other people's money. If you do not pay that money you are stealing, you are unhealthy.Humans are bound by signatures (fax) and words (recorded conversation). A signature is a covenant an agreement. You don't see the person who is helping you get the credit card. Not only will paying bills on time build your credit score it will teach discipline. Be credible. We have to be challenged financially. Learn to prioritize. Restructure your life. Assess things in your life. African culture: family think you are wealthy because you live in the United States. They call on you for money.Must use wisdom because you can get poor making others rich. There has to be a balance. God wants to make sure we are balanced. It makes no sense to send money to someone else for you to get an eviction notice.American culture: Selfish. They don't want to give you anything. Developing SpirituallyTo grow spiritually requires devotion (reading and meditating on God's Word). It requires self-discipline. Wake up in the morning and read the Word. Not only will the Word of God bring good success it will help you to manage good success.Adjust your schedule. If you need to be at work at 8:00am, adjust your schedule to arrive at 7:30am to get in the Word and talk to God. Keep God in your mind. You can also read the Word during your lunch hour. You can sacrifice time to read the book of the law. When someone on the job starts to act up you already have the Word in you and you can respond in a healthy manner. How to grow spiritually – 1) devotion (prayer and read the book of the law day and night) 2) disciplineThe enemy knows when you make decisions to read. He will start to bring temptations to you. He will send people to call you while you are praying. Learn to have discipline in your prayer life. Be able to tell people to call you back even if they say they want to speak to you for a few minutes. Be consistent with it.Consistency brings accumulation. There are some people who do not have to be in your life anymore. Where you need to go some people can't be with you.You cannot grow above your circle. You can only grow to the potential of the people you talk to. Do not waste your time with some people. Whatever is in your circle you can only grow to that level. If you give 30 minutes of your time understand it is treasure. Everyone surrounding me is greater than me so that I can be challenged to grow and upgrade my level. You must change your negative language, stop complaining. CounselingGrief is usually 6-9 months. Longer than 9 months you need special attention, it is unhealthy. Set up discipline – go to the level God is expecting you to go to.Your assignment is not your cousin's assignment. There is an assignment on you. i.e. – If your cousin is in a hospice you cannot stop your life to be with the cousin. If you have compassion you are healthy. You must be developed in your body, soul and spirit. Each person in life is responsible for their own actions. There is only 1 Savior, stop trying to be the family's savior. There are things you should get involved with and things you should not get involved with. There are things you should touch and there are things you should not touch. There are things you should say and there are things you should not say.If you give something to someone and they do not want to keep it, take it back because that person did not appreciate what you gave.God judges according to motives not actions. Must consider what the intention is.When you become healthy some things won't bother you anymore.Spiritual (continued)God develops us spiritually by3) Trial, test and suffering:Matthew 4:1Omniscience (all knowing) and predestination of God are different3 levels of test: body, soul and spiritJesus overcame all 3. Being filled with the Spirit does not excuse you from temptation. Are you willing to give up?Temptation is different from trials and tests. Temptation: brings one to the disobedience of God.Trials/tests: brings one to the obedience of God.James 1: 13 (God does not send temptation)Temptation comes from Satan.James 1:2-3Count it all joy (not laughing and being happy, but being grateful and thankful). Joy is the attitude of the heart. Your emotions will be there, that's the human side, but don't let them drive you. If the first thing you do is murmuring and complaining, you are not healthy. Ask God for peace and you ask Him a dangerous question. Ask for patience and He will bring stuff to you to be still.LeadershipThe 4 categories of leadership are:1) The leading leader (leads other people)2) Learned leader3) Latent leader4) Limited leaderDefinition of Leadership: influenceThere are 3 levels of leadership and 2 types of leaders.God always develops us in the level of the spirit. The 5 layers (Maxwell calls it levels) of leadership are:
1) Position leaders: Became leader on position. People follow because they have to. i.e. – President Bush (acquired by position), some Pastors (people follow). Influence does not go beyond job duties.
2) Permission: People follow because they want to. It's according to relationship. i.e. – family or friend put in position even though they may not have the potential.
3) Production: People follow because of what was done for the organization. It's according to results. They heard your name and saw what you did before. Leader has an impact.
4) People Development: People follow because of what was done for them and not for the organization. (Reproduction).
– I work for you because remember what did for me. Long range growth occurs here.
5) Personhood: People follow because of who you are, what they respect in you and what you represent.Leaders are born and made. All leaders have to be developed.
Every leader has to have a vision.
– Hilary Clinton did not allow Bill Clinton mistake with Lewinsky to stop her, she had long site with vision.

Problem of lifes
Life is a series of problem- solving opportunities
The problems you face will either defeat you or develop you, depending on how you respond to them. Unfortunately, most people fail to see how God wants to use problems for good in their lives. They react foolishly and resent their problems for good in their rather than pausing to consider what benefit they might bring.
Here are five ways God wants to use the problems in your life:
1. God uses problems to DIRECT you.
Sometimes God must light a fire under you to get you moving. Problems often point us in a new direction and motivate us to change. Is God trying to get your attention? Sometimes it takes a painful situation to make us change our ways. Proverbs 20:30(GN)
2. God uses problems to INSPECT you.
People are like tea bags” If you want to know what’s inside them, just drop them into hot water!” Has God ever tested your faith with problem? What do problems reveal about you?” When you have many kinds of troubles, you should be full of joy, because you know that these troubles test your faith, and this will give patience” James 1:2-3 (NCV)
3. God uses problems to CORRECT you.
Some lessons we learn only through pain and failure. It’s likely that as a child your parents told you not to touch a hot stove. But you probably learned by being burned. Sometimes we only learn the value of something health, money, a relationship by losing it. It was the best thing that could have happened to me, for it taught me to pay attention to your laws. “ Psalm 119:71-72 (LB)
4. God uses problems to PROTECT you
A problem can be a blessing in disguise if it prevents you from being harmed by something more serious. Few years ago a man was fired for refusing to do something unethical that his boss had asked him to do. His unemployment was a problem- but it saved him from being convicted and sent to prison later when management’s actions were eventually discovered. “ You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good” Genesis 50: 20 (NIV)
5. God uses problems to PERFECT you
Problems, when responded to correctly, are character builders. God is far more interested in your character than your comfort. Your relationship to God and your character are the only two things you’re going to take with you into eternity. “we can rejoice when we run into problems they help us learn to be patient. And patience develops us and strength of character in us and help us trust God more each time we use it until finally our hope and faith are strong and steady. Romans 5: 3-4 (LB)
In conclusion: God is at work in your life-even when you do not recognize it or understand it. But it’s much easier and profitable when you cooperate with him.
